DPDP Compliance

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), you have specific rights regarding your personal data. This page explains how Eat Fresh Recipes India complies with these rights, even though we do not collect or store personal information through user registration or databases.

Scope and Applicability

The DPDP applies to the processing of digital personal data within India. While Eat Fresh Recipes India does not require users to register or submit personal information, we may indirectly collect limited data through automated means such as web analytics, cookies, and server logs. This data is processed solely for improving user experience and website functionality, and never for profiling, targeted advertising, or commercial sale.

Your Rights Under DPDP

As a data principal under the DPDP, you have the following rights:

  • Right to access your digital personal data we hold
  • Right to correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure of your data
  • Right to grievance redressal if you believe your rights have been violated

Note: Since we do not actively collect or store identifiable personal data, these rights primarily apply to any data inadvertently collected through analytics or logs.

How We Comply

We do not maintain any user database, registration system, or personal data repository. Any data collected through third-party analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is anonymized and aggregated. We do not track individuals, link data to identities, or retain data beyond what is necessary for statistical purposes. We ensure all third-party tools we use comply with DPDP principles.

Data We Process

We may process the following types of data, all collected automatically:

  • IP addresses (anonymized)
  • Browser type and device information
  • Pages visited and time spent on site
  • Cookie identifiers (session-only, non-tracking)

This data is not linked to any individual’s name, phone number, email, or other identifier.

Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing of data is based on legitimate interest under Section 5(2) of the DPDP, specifically to ensure the proper functioning and improvement of our website. We do not rely on consent for this processing, as the data is non-identifiable and minimally invasive.

How to Exercise Your Rights

If you believe any personal data about you has been collected and wish to exercise your rights under the DPDP, please contact us at [email protected]. In your message, please include:

  1. Your full name
  2. A description of the data you seek to access, correct, or erase
  3. Any supporting details (e.g., approximate date of visit, browser used)

We will review your request and respond within the legally mandated timeframe.

Response Timeframes

Under the DPDP, we are required to respond to your request within 30 days of receipt. In complex cases, we may extend this period by an additional 15 days and will notify you if this occurs.

No Discrimination Policy

We will not deny you access to our content, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your rights under the DPDP.

Updates and Changes

We may update this DPDP Compliance page from time to time to reflect changes in the law or our practices. Any material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
